Nairobi National Park

Nairobi National Park is located 7 kilometers away from the city centre with only a fence separating the Park’s wildlife from the Metropolis. At the Park we also have accommodation for people who wish to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city Centre.

The park was established in the year 1946 and is the first National Park in Kenya. You can have a beautiful view of the city centre and all the tall buildings are easily visible. Being the Kenya’s first ever National Park it has its uniqueness and unspoilt wildlife haven within sight of the city’s skyline. Variety of animals and birds including Rhino, buffalo, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, lion and plenty of antelopes and gazelles can be seen roaming in this open plains. The chief attraction here is the “african lion” the only member of the big five not found here is the elephant but if you have enough time you may visit the elephant sanctuary – Daphne Sheldrick which is within the park but using a different gate from open to public from 11a.m. At Nairobi national park you may also choose to visit the animal orphanage or take a safari walk which will give you an opportunity to take close pictures of the animals and will bring you close to nature, you may also take a stroll as you enjoy the cool breeze of the natural air from the park and birds singing to different tunes.
